A new partnership with RWS Global is reshaping evenings at sea across the Azamara fleet.

Azamara has always been known for what happens off the ship — longer port stays, overnights in marquee cities, and the signature AzAmazing Evenings that bring local culture onboard. What it hasn't always been known for? The evening entertainment back on the ship.

That just changed.

What's New Onboard

Azamara Cruises has officially rolled out a new onboard entertainment program developed in partnership with RWS Global, debuting on Azamara Pursuit during its April 10, 2026 Japan Intensive sailing through Kobe, Nagasaki, and Tokyo.

The lineup includes four original stage productions:

• Viva Vegas — exclusive to Pursuit
• Yesterday, Today, and Forever — exclusive to Pursuit
• Written in the Stars — rolling out fleet-wide
• Vinyl Records: The Studio Sessions — rolling out fleet-wide

Each production blends live musicians, narrative-driven storytelling, and immersive design — a noticeably different feel from the standard cruise cabaret format.

The Bigger Picture

This debut is just the first wave. Azamara has announced plans for 13 new exclusive entertainment experiences across the fleet — ten original stage shows spanning multiple genres and decades, two interactive game shows, and a set of themed musical moments and pop-ups. Fleet-wide technical upgrades to the venues are part of the investment as well.

• Azamara Quest — November 2026
• Azamara Onward — March 2027

The RWS Global partnership itself isn't new — it dates back to 2017 — but this represents a significant expansion of it, with RWS handling development, casting, choreography, design, and ongoing production management across all four ships.

Entertainment has historically been the quieter part of the Azamara pitch. The brand leans on destination depth, included amenities, and boutique-scale service — not Broadway-level production value.
